REHABILITATION THERAPY SERVICE

REHABILITATION THERAPY SERVICE

Coordinators: Claudio Beneventi and Maria Cristina Lorenzi

The Rehabilitation Therapy Service is a long-standing national benchmark for Respiratory, Cardiac and Metabolic-Nutritional Rehabilitation, thanks to its highly qualified staff (including, most notably, one physiotherapist with a 1st level Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy and  Respiratory Rehabilitation, one physiotherapist with a 1st level Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy and one physiotherapist specializing in Technogym® metabolic fitness) and first grade equipment, such as the Technogym® Easyline Circuit.
Constantly updated physical therapy equipment, such as high-power laser, Tecar therapy and EMS focal and radial shockwave therapy as well as other instruments and/or methods (RPG, McKenzie®, lymph drainage, etc.) provide a Service that delivers the highest level of care, including for orthopaedic patients and sportsmen and women. The Service has 9 gyms available where individual as well as group activities can be carried out. The goal of rehabilitation is for the individual to recover and maintain their psycho-physical potential through prevention, care and re-education of motility, upper cortical and visceral functions subsequent to pathological events of varying aetiology, either congenital or acquired. The services are delivered through tailored programmes that take into account the needs and potentials of the individual as a whole, that is, as a person whose life takes place within a specific family, environmental and relational network.
The Service delivers intensive-post-acute rehabilitation treatment to inpatients and rehabilitation treatment to outpatient.
